Screen Nova Scotia is proud to announce the launch of an exciting new logo and brand! This transformation represents a significant step forward in our mission to champion the Nova Scotian screen industry, reflecting the province’s vibrant, accessible, and growing creative landscape.
Intended to increase Screen Nova Scotia’s visibility, the new brand is bold, warm, and dynamic. Our goal is for the logo/brand to be easily recognizable both within our film community and to clients in the national and international screen industry. This is the first official rebrand for the organisation since its inception in 2014.
“This rebrand is more than just a new look; its vibrancy reflects our dedication to supporting local talent and attracting international production,” said Laura Mackenzie, Executive Director, Screen Nova Scotia. “We wanted a look that not only represents our dynamic and growing industry but also reflects the momentum and regeneration we’re currently experiencing. As we celebrate ten years of Screen Nova Scotia, this rebrand is a testament to our province’s potential as a destination location for world-class production.”
The new brand was created by VSC – Visual Communication Source, a local boutique design studio. Input was provided from the board of directors, SNS staff, industry stakeholders, and LA-based studio executives.
Along with the new logo, other key elements updated in the new branding will be Screen Nova Scotia’s visual identity, social media channels, website, and promotional/marketing materials. We’ll also be introducing branded merchandise in 2025.
