Although new to the Nova Scotia film scene, I’ve spent much of my life working in the film industry in a wide variety of roles. Most recently, I was the director of a regional film festival in California and during that time, I wrote and produced many short promotional films, while developing a large annual event that involved fundraising/finance, management and marketing. I independently produced a short documentary about men who knit which was featured as one of the early “YouTube videos of the week” on Good Morning America.
Before that I produced theatre productions, but my basic film training comes from working as an assistant director based in Toronto. I worked freelance for many years on features, TV series, and commercials as a DGC member. I’ve also worked as a production coordinator, prop master, editor, researcher and location scout.
I’m also a writer, have optioned a screenplay and am working on several more projects. My goal is to produce my own screenplay.
