About

I’m new to this Industry and I’m looking forward to learning more in the coming years.  Having worked on a local television series has given me an interest in this field.

I’ve only recently been involved in the film industry. In October, 2024, I was hired to work on Starmaker Academy, a series based in Cape Breton with Producer Craig Cameron. I was in the Hair and Makeup Department.

I was then hired to work on the same series in June of this year in the same department.

I was asked to volunteer to do a clip for a potential series called Horror Inc. I will also be volunteering this weekend to do more clips on the same series.

This has somewhat peaked my interest since last year’s involvement. My main work has been in the legal industry with me leaving for a few years in the late 90’s to enter into a Cosmetology Program at NSCC. I gained my license and opened my own salon in 2000. I also worked for Mary Kay Cosmetics for about 5 years in the 90’s as well. Doing weddings and fashion shows and volunteering at our local theatre doing makeup and hair.

As I am preparing to retire from my legal position with the Public Prosecution Service the past 20 plus years in the near future, I am seeking another interest to be present in my life. I would like to learn more about this industry either through working or volunteering in helping others bringing film work to Cape Breton.
