Mel Hennigar is a filmmaker and producer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia who believes the right story has the power to change the world. After a long stint in the marketing industry as a copywriter and creative director with a specific focus on video production, she has been undergoing a mid-career pivot to focus her time and attention on Nova Scotia’s growing film and television industry. Mel has worked as a producer and production manager on commercial, narrative, and factual projects. She is interested in stories of difficult women—may we know them, may we be them, and may we celebrate them.
