Maggee Leavey

Maggee Leavey is a Kjipuktuk/Halifax-based 2026 Screen Arts graduate with a passion for the art department. During her time in Screen Arts she has worked in all facets of the art department, from designing and building sets and props to learning scenic paint techniques, all while improving her artistry skills. She looks forward to applying what she has learned when working on productions as an IATSE 849 scenic and props referral, as well as a DGC Art Department set PA Permittee. Maggee enjoys being active in the local community, being part of the 2026, FILM 5 program as an Art Department trainee, and volunteering for events such as WIFT-AT’s Making Waves Conference, AIFF, and the Canadian Cinema Editors EditCon. She is excited to keep working on both independent and union productions, volunteering, and taking every opportunity to continue learning and growing in her craft and as a crew member. She finds no greater joy than being part of the process of bringing the vision of others to life and looks forward to continue doing so in her career.
