Burton Howell is an aspiring filmmaker located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After getting the chance to direct his first short film at Brock University, he quickly fell in love with filmmaking and began working in a number of production sound roles. He was quickly given a number of opportunities with Clerisy Entertainment. He would go on to AD a number of productions for Eastlink TV, and eventually was given the chance to direct. He has gone on to direct all eight seasons of The Past and the Curious, and a number of seasons of Home Shores. Besides community TV, he has also become more involved in union productions this last year, working on shows such as The Sinner, We Were Liars, The Institute, and Sullivan’s Crossing.
Burton has ambitions of becoming more involved in short films and features. He has a love for sci-fi, grand adventures, and surrealist horrors, and hopes to delve more into the world of psychological science fiction and horror going forward with his upcoming short film.
