Russell Clark

Russell Clark is a natural history and documentary filmmaker whose work has taken him from Pacific kelp forests and Newfoundland shipwrecks to Spanish cork woodlands and Indonesian coral reefs — and onto screens at CBC, PBS, Netflix, and Crave. An Emmy Award–winning cinematographer and Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, he was episode Producer, Director, and Cinematographer of the Atlantic episode of the forthcoming series Life at the Edge for CBC, PBS, and Arté. A certified commercial diver, founder of the Canadian Underwater Film Network, and recipient of a Jackson Wild Award, Russell has spent more than 25 years crafting stories across film, publishing, and digital media — including work in Indigenous communities across Canada. His passion is telling stories about people, their communities and their place within the natural world.
