A Cannes Lion-winning, Sundance alumni, writer/director, entrepreneur, Doug Karr has been creating award-winning independent films and commercials for over two decades. Karr’s TEN FOR GRANDPA premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and has gone on to screen at over 50 international film festivals, winning multiple awards. Karr’s feature, ART MACHINE, stars Joseph Cross (Big Little Lies, Milk), Jessica Szohr (The Orville, Gossip Girl) and Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy, Big Daddy) was bought by Netflix. Karr also directs award-winning commercials and branded content, with multiple nods from AdWeek’s Top 10 branded spots of the week and a pair of 2014 Cannes Lions (Gold & Silver) directing for Gray/TNT. Karr is the director of Pie Face Pictures in NYC, and EntreNu in Canada.
