This delegation will enhance the promotion of coproduction, joint-financing, distribution and development opportunities between animation producers and companies in the Atlantic provinces, and those internationally. The mission will enhance the group’s knowledge of working with producers on an international scale.

Screen Nova Scotia will partner with Telefilm Canada and the Canada Pavilion to ensure designated meeting space for delegates for the duration of the program. A delegate from Screen Nova Scotia will also be on the ground during the mission to help with logistical planning.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PRODUCERS

Flights, Accommodations, and Travel Assistance: Producers will be responsible for booking their own travel and accommodations for this trip. The delegation should be on the ground for meetings by the morning of June 9th, 2024 (subject to change). Nova Scotia animation producers can apply for travel assistance (flights, accommodation, and ground transport) via the Export Development Program (EDP) with Invest Nova Scotia. Each company is allotted up to $15,000 per fiscal year to fund 50 percent of travel costs for travel to markets. The key with this is to apply for the funding before you leave for Annecy, or you do not qualify. Guidelines HERE. Of note: the turnaround on gaining approval from Invest Nova Scotia can be between seven and 14 days.
